JHONATAN SÁNCHEZ

Jhonatan is a member of the Financing, Corporate Reorganization, and Bankruptcy departments. His practice focuses on advising clients on insolvency and restructuring matters under the Ley General del Sistema Concursal before the National Institute for the Defense of Competition and Protection of Intellectual Property (INDECOPI). He has experience in insolvency proceedings, including Ordinary Bankruptcy Proceedings and Preventive Bankruptcy Proceedings. Jhonatan has participated in the implementation of restructurings and liquidations within the framework of bankruptcy proceedings. He also has experience in initiating insolvency procedures, challenging Board of Creditors Meeting agreements, credit recognition and challenging the latter.

Jhonatan holds a Bachelor of Laws degree from the Universidad Nacional Mayor de San Marcos, where he graduated among the top students in his class. He also holds a specialization certificate in Administrative Law and has pursued further studies in Insolvency Law. He participated as a collaborator in the First International Congress of Commercial Law organized by the Faculty of Law and Political Science of UNMSM and represented the university in the Second National Arbitration Tournament organized by APTA Perú, UNMSM, and Rodrigo, Elías & Medrano Abogados.

During his university years, he was a member of various academic groups. In 2021, he served as General Coordinator of the Business and Financial Law Workshop and is currently an honorary member of said Workshop.

Before joining the firm, Jhonatan completed his pre-professional internships in the Banking and Finance practice at Rodríguez Angobaldo Abogados and in the Insolvency Proceedings Commission of INDECOPI, where he later worked as a Legal Specialist for three years.
