Tabata Arteta is a lawyer graduated from the University of Lima, with honors “summa cum laude,” and has over 23 years of experience in the areas of litigation and arbitration. She has extensive experience in designing and implementing legal strategies, as well as defending clients in arbitration and judicial disputes. Her professional practice covers civil, corporate, administrative, constitutional, public and private contracting, infrastructure, insurance, debt recovery, and medical civil liability disputes and arbitrations.

Tabata is an arbitrator at the most important Arbitration Centers in Peru, having participated in arbitrations both as an arbitrator and as legal counsel. She has also handled numerous cases involving the annulment of arbitral awards, as well as their enforcement.

She has gained significant experience through her versatility in handling judicial cases. Her multidisciplinary approach enables her to address complex cases with technical precision and strategic vision.

Since 2021, she has been ranked individually in Band 3 in Chambers & Partners Latin America, in the Dispute Resolution – Litigation category.

Before joining her current role, Tabata was a partner at De Bracamonte, Haaker & Castellares, a partner at Kennedys and Barrios & Fuentes, as well as a senior associate at the Muñiz law firm.
