Likewise, she has participated advising companies from various sectors in the framework of an undisclosed insolvency process filed against them.
  • Preventive Bankruptcy Procedures: Advice to the association Red Cientifica Peruana in the restructuring of its bankruptcy liabilities for S/ 75 million.
  • Protection of creditors in Bankruptcy Procedures: Advice to creditors in the Bankruptcy Procedures of Obras de Ingenería S.A., Ingenieros Contratistas y Civiles S.A. – ICCGSA, Compañía Minera Quiruvilca S.A., Intigold Mining S.A., Superconcreto del Perú S.A., Herco Combustibles S.A, among others. Likewise, she has participated advising financial entities for the collection and recovery of their credits, such as Banco de Crédito del Perú and Avla Perú Compañía de Seguros.
  • Bankruptcy Liquidations: Advice to Gasoducto Sur Peruano S.A. with bankruptcy liabilities of US$1,500 million. Likewise, she has participated advising creditors in the Bankruptcy Liquidation of Doe Run Perú S.R.L. and Century Mining Perú S.A.C.
  • Investment in distressed companies: Advice to investors for the acquisition or sale of bankruptcy credits, or assets of companies in bankruptcy or distress, such as Doe Run Perú S.R.L., Compañía Minera San Simón, Century Mining S.A.C. and Compañía Minera Quiruvilca.

Carla is member of the Financings, Corporate Reorganizations and Bankruptcy departments. Her practice specializes in advising companies on insolvency and restructuring under the General Bankruptcy System Law before the National Institute for the Defense of Competition and Protection of Intellectual Property (INDECOPI), as well as in the planning of credit recovery from financial entities and companies from various sectors.

Carla is the first woman and Spanish speaker to win the Richard Turton Award (2020), which rewards the best research works in Bankruptcy Law worldwide, with the topic “Necessary reforms: Adaptation of insolvency regimes in Latin America due to the crisis.” She has been a selected speaker at different events such as the International Conference of Latin American and Iberian Law and Economics Association – ALACDE (2019).

She is assistant professor of the Bankruptcy course at the Universidad Nacional Mayor de San Marcos since 2019 and hosts the Bankruptcy program on Radio Jurídica La Decana.

She is a member of Insol International, IWIRC – International Women’s Insolvency & Restructuring Confederation and the Ibero-American Institute of Law and Finance. Likewise, he is an honorary member of Grupo de Estudios Sociedades of the Universidad Nacional Mayor de San Marcos.

Previously, she worked as an associate lawyer in the Banckrupcy and Restructuring department of the Estudio Martinot and as a trainee at the Specialized Insolvency Proceedings Chamber of the INDECOPI Court.
